About Us
Pacific Sports LLC is a premier sports consultation firm, specializing in event production, corporate client service and athlete representation. Having produced over 100 triathlons in the United States, including the 1996 Triathlon World Championships and 10 United States World Championships, Pacific Sports LLC is dedicated to the management of top-notch multi-sport events all around the world; including triathlons, marathons, and other running events. Pacific Sports is a Limited Liability Company owned by Jack Caress. He directly supervises and services all aspects of every event, client or athlete, and they are supported by a staff equally sensitive to the needs of the each project.
Jack Caress, President

Jack has been involved with the sport of triathlon since its inception. He has directed over 250 multisport events including the longest running triathlon in the continental United States, now entering its 28th year. Under his direction have come 12 U.S. Championships and the Triathlon World Championship in 1996.  He currently directs the Los Angeles, Catalina, Newport Beach, Long Beach and Cleveland Triathlons in addition to the Catalina Marathon and Buffalo Run Half Marathon.

He has a financial background with graduate degrees in economics and finance from the University of California, Irvine. He later became a certified public accountant and provided financial advice for selected companies and individuals. Jack taught at the university level for thirteen years including ten at Chapman University from 1987 to 1996. He taught in the areas of economics, accounting, and political economics during this period while providing sports consulting to concerns throughout the world. For three years, he served as the Director of the Freshman Seminar at Chapman University. Jack has been published both in sports and financial journals, writing on the business of sports in addition to finance and accounting articles. He has been the editor of two books in the field political economics.  He currently is an Adjunct Professor for the University of San Francisco Sports Management Program.

Jack is the Executive Producer of the Los Angeles Triathlon broadcast.  He has provided expert commentary for CBS, NBC, ESPN, FOX, and Cablevision on triathlon broadcasts. Jack served as a consultant for International Management Group in Cleveland, Ohio (the world's largest sports marketing firm) for six years from 1983 to 1989, working in the Athletics & Fitness division. He has actively participated in over 150 multisport events including the Ironman Triathlon World Championship on four occasions. He was also a member of the 1975 NCAA Championship Golf Team at UC Irvine.

Kylee Belflower, Manager of Marketing and Sales

Kylee was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with emphasis in Sports Management from the University of Kansas in May 2006. Kylee joined Pacific Sports in June 2006 and has had experience in organizing the Run, Walk, and Roll Fundraiser for the University of Kansas. She also was a two-time State Champion in high school tennis doubles, participated in track, and was an All-State volleyball player. Kylee enjoys participating in running events and participated in the Iron Kids Triathlons.

Megan Rowe , Director of Development and Operations

Megan is an experienced sport industry professional and a participant sport enthusiast. She comes to us from Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) where she worked as a Regional Sport Manager and Volunteer Coordinator. In addition to her work with SOSC, she gained valued experience while working/interning with AEG, Major League Soccer, NikeTown-London, and various fitness clubs.

Megan is a native of California. She received her Master of Arts in Sport Management at Long Beach State, and her Bachelor of Arts in Social Science at University of California, Irvine. Megan competed in the triple jump and long jump for the UC Irvine Track & Field team and earned Academic All-American and Big West Scholar Athlete honors. In her earlier years, Megan also competed in swimming, cross country, basketball, volleyball, and softball. After 10 years of competing in the sport of track & field, she transitioned to the sport of triathlon as an active competitor and hasn’t looked back.

Katie Caress, Director of Online Services
Katie joined Pacific Sports in April of 1997. She is responsible for the design and maintenance of the Pacific Sports and LA Triathlon web sites, along with coordination of online registration functions and online newsletter distribution.

Katie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987 and holds a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from San Diego State University. She joined Pacific Sports from a sales position with a national medical diagnostics company. Katie played soccer throughout high school and at the University of Texas and has continued her pursuit of athletic endevours by completing the Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston Marathons. She has also participated in several triathlons upon joining Pacific Sports.
